Caring Fields Felines – Animal Shelter Spotlight
Caring Fields Felines (CFF), in Palm City, Florida, is in the shelter spotlight for May.
I have had the pleasure of visiting this caring facility several times.
Pauline Glover and her hardworking staff of volunteers always greets visitors with a smile.
Animal shelters play a vital role and have a positive impact on our communities.
These shelters provide homeless animals with food, water, and medical care.
They also provide these animals a caring human presence.
CFF is unique.
This shelter cares for close to 168 cats and provides free-roaming campgrounds, with fenced enclosures, where cats can be themselves.
Each enclosure has a “cat cottage” which allows the cats to come and go as they please.
Supporters donate the cottages.
Volunteers decorate them, and each one is very distinctive.
These living areas are climate controlled with AC.
They also have kitchenettes and comfy, cozy sleeping spots for their residents.
I asked about hurricane protection.
This is Florida, so I was curious.
I was amazed at the answer.
There is a small building close to each cottage.
These buildings contain hurricane shutters!
These cats are well protected.

Angel’s Cabin
CFF has an incredible kitten nursery which provides proper care for newborn kittens.
A generous donation provided the sanctuary with a new surgical suite.
Veterinarian care (dental, spay and neutering, blood drawing) is conducted on-site which keeps the stress level down for the cats.
CFF has a variety of programs to help their homeless feline residents.
You can help the cats by adopting.
Kittens, cats, and senior cats are available.
These cats are looking for a cozy lap in a forever home and you might find that one special cat that touches your heart.
If you can’t adopt but love animals, why not try fostering?
CFF will advise you on your responsibilities and care of the fosters.
This is very rewarding.
If you just can’t have a cat, sponsoring can make a big difference.
You can become a monthly or annual sponsor.
You can donate money, send needed supplies, or volunteer at the sanctuary.
Visit CFF’s website for a complete description of their wonderful programs.
It’s hard for me to choose a shelter to spotlight each month because there are so many wonderful facilities, big and small, to spotlight.
All shelters need our support.
If you have never visited this shelter, please put CFF on your “to-do” list.
They love giving tours of their property.

I visited Caring Fields and have never seen any place this unique. Each cottage is different but all have what
Is needed to care for their residents. The grounds are spotless and the cottages very clean and well maintained.
What a great place!
Hi, JoAnn,
It’s like a resort for cats! Just wonderful!
